We believe growth happens when young athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves at their own pace. Whether riding for adventure, competition, service, or personal growth, each rider chooses their journey while being supported by teammates, coaches, and family. Our goal is simple: build Riders for Life.

Empowering growth through

Racing

Race day is where preparation meets opportunity. Riders challenge themselves, build confidence, develop skills, and discover what they’re capable of accomplishing. Along the way, they learn teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship while pursuing their personal best

Adventure

Not every ride is about competition. Team adventures encourage exploration, camaraderie, and a love of the outdoors. Riders discover new trails, overcome challenges together, and create memories that last long after the ride ends.

Trail Corps

Great trails don’t maintain themselves. Trail Corps teaches riders to give back through stewardship, advocacy, and volunteer service. By helping build and maintain trails, athletes develop leadership skills while caring for the places they ride.

GRiT

GRiT (Girls Riding Together) creates opportunities for female riders and coaches to connect, grow, and thrive in mountain biking. Through mentorship, encouragement, and shared experiences, participants build confidence, support one another, and inspire future generations of riders.

Community Impact

As a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Scott County Shredders create opportunities for local student-athletes to ride, grow, and thrive through mountain biking. Supported by donors, community partners, and dedicated volunteers, we are committed to building a sustainable program that serves future generations.

As proud members of the Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League and NICA, we connect local riders to a nationwide community dedicated to developing strong riders and stronger people.
